Entry: Bed of Lies Dec 4, 2003

I am done here, people. Again, overdosing on music - lots of it (not a good idea, this, depending on where you're coming from), for now, the predominant theme seems to be the one here.....surfaces deceive - inside, one remains tortured. Goodbye to you all...

"No I would not sleep in this bed of lies
So toss me out and turn in
And there'll be no rest for these tired eyes
I'm marking it down to learning
I am

Don't think that I can take another empty moment
Don't think that I can fake another hollow smile
It's not enough just to be sorry
Don't think that I could take another talk about it

Just like me you got needs
And they're only a whisper away
And we softly surrender
To these lives that we've tendered away

No I would not sleep in this bed of lies
So toss me out and turn in
And there'll be no rest for these tired eyes
I'm marking it down to learning
I am

Don't wanna be the one who turns the whole thing over
Don't wanna be somewhere where I just don't belong
Where it's not enough just be sorry

Don't you know I feel the darkness closing in
Tried to be more than me
And I gave till it all went away
And we've only surrendered
To the worst part of these winters we've made

No I would not sleep in this bed of lies
So toss me out and turn in
And there'll be no rest for these tired eyes
I'm marking it down to learning
I am

I am all that I'll ever be
When you - lay your hands
Over me but don't go weak on me now
I know that it's weak
But God help me I need this

I will not sleep in this bed of lies
So toss me out and turn in
And there'll be no rest for these tired eyes
I'm marking it down to learning
I'm marking it down to learning
'Cause I am..."

Oh Shoot! Everybody, I figured I missed out a whole bunch of you all, that I didn't intend to, it was purely accidental - I simply forgot, or I perhaps wrongly assumed that you wouldn't be interested. So here's the thing - here's my YM ID: mt_gull

Buzz me on YM, drop me an offliner/onliner (given which time-zone we are dealing with here) and I'll tell you where I am posting. Again, sincere apologies for the faux pas!

:) sure thing Lc. I'll give the ol' amp a good oiling and vaccuum the speakers.

interestingly, m20 have two versions of this particular line ... one is this one and the other is

"She thinks that happiness is a MAT that sits on her doorway."

Nish, now make that an entire day at your place - not just the afternoon!! :) :)

My all-time fav one liner (if I had to pick such a thing) from all of their songs and albums EVER is the one you quoted
"she believes that happiness was a moth that sits on her doorway and outside, it stops raining."

i love love love m 20 ... my favourite track is 3am.

she believes that life isnt made up of all it used to
and the clock on the wall has been stuck at 3 for days and days
she believes that happiness was a moth that sits on her doorway
and outside, it stops raining.
